Fun and Educational Programs for Groups

Animal Training and Enrichment

Learn how to teach animals to do behaviors using positive methods.  Play a training game.  Learn how to use positive methods to train your pets at home.  Discover what enrichment is and why it is an important part of animal care.  Create an enrichment toy for animals at the sanctuary or to take home to your pet.  Meet some of the sanctuary animals.   This class is offered at the sanctuary or at your site. 

  • Program Length: 1 - 1 ½  hour
  • Group Size: 10-15 at sanctuary and up to 30 at your site.  (for more than 30, multiple consecutive programs can be reserved)
  • Ages: 10 and up
  • Children must be accompanied by one adult per 10 children in the group.
  • Fee: $10 per person

Are you ready for a pet?

Having a pet is a big responsibility.  Learn how to choose a pet that best fits your needs and abilities.   Discovery basic pet care needs and costs for caring for a pet.   Meet some of the sanctuary animals and learn about their specific care and the cost for keeping a pet like them.  This program is offered at the sanctuary or at your site. 

  • Program Length: 1 hour
  • Group Size: 10-15 at sanctuary and up to 30 at your site.  (for more than 30, multiple consecutive programs can be reserved)
  • Ages:  8 and up
  • Children must be accompanied by one adult per 10 children in the group.
  • Fee: $10 per person

Animal Careers

Learn about the different careers working with animals and what it takes to get a job in the animal field. Explore careers such as animal trainer, zoo keeper, and veterinary technician. Meet some of the animals that live at the sanctuary.  This class is presented off site at your location.
